    Evaluation Rules

Complete rules governing PropTide funded evaluations and funded accounts. These apply to all account tiers ($2K, $10K, $25K).

    Evaluation Phase

    Profit Target

Reach your tier's profit target in net profit to pass the evaluation. Profit is measured after all trading fees.

    $2,000

    Target: $200

    $10,000

    Target: $1,000

    $25,000

    Target: $2,000

    Minimum Profitable Trading Days

To pass, you must also record at least 3 different profitable trading days. Each day must finish with the required realized net profit after fees for your tier.

Only closed or resolved trades count toward the day minimum. Open P&L does not count until the trade is closed or settles.

    $2,000

    Min Profit / Day: $50

    3 days required

    $10,000

    Min Profit / Day: $250

    3 days required

    $25,000

    Min Profit / Day: $500

    3 days required

    Drawdown

Your minimum allowed balance equals your highest settled end-of-day balance minus your tier's drawdown amount. The floor trails upward as your account grows — it never moves down. The floor is recalculated at 11:59 PM PST each day.

Drawdown is measured on total account value — your cash plus the live value of every open position — and it is checked continuously while positions are open, not only when trades close. You do not have to close a position for a loss to count against you.

A breach must persist for roughly 30 seconds before it counts, and no breach is recorded while quotes for an open position are stale or unreliable. A momentary price spike that recovers will not end your account.

Once a breach is confirmed, the evaluation is failed and all open positions are closed.

    $2,000

    Drawdown: $100

    Starting floor $1,900

    $10,000

    Drawdown: $500

    Starting floor $9,500

    $25,000

    Drawdown: $1,000

    Starting floor $24,000

    Position Limits

Position limits are counted in contracts, not dollars. Every contract settles at $1, so a contract limit caps how far your account can move in either direction — a dollar limit would cap only your losses and leave a cheap, long-shot position free to swing the account by many times its cost.

There is no cap on the number of open positions, but your total open contracts across all events may not exceed your per-event limit.

    $2,000

    Contracts / Event: 100 contracts

    Funded: 30 → 50 at $2,050

    $10,000

    Contracts / Event: 500 contracts

    Funded: 150 → 250 at $10,250

    $25,000

    Contracts / Event: 1,000 contracts

    Funded: 300 → 500 at $25,500

    Trading Fees

Standard Kalshi maker and taker fees apply during the evaluation. PnL is measured net of fees.

    • Market (taker)0.07 × contracts × price × (1 - price)
    • Resting (maker)0.0175 × contracts × price × (1 - price)

Fees are rounded up to the next cent. A resting limit order pays the maker rate; an order that crosses the spread pays the taker rate.

    Funded Account Phase

    Profit Split

You keep 90% of all profits earned on your funded account. PropTide retains 10%.

    Multi-Account Policy

You can hold up to 5 active evaluations across all tiers and run them in parallel. A reset is a new, paid evaluation attempt at the tier you choose; the breached attempt remains in your history.

Each user may hold up to 5 active funded accounts across all tiers (any mix of $2K, $10K, and $25K). Eliminated funded accounts no longer count against the cap — passing another evaluation will refill the slot.

If you pass an evaluation while already at the 5-funded cap, the activation is held for you. As soon as an existing funded account ends, you can activate the queued evaluation as a new funded account.

    Payout Schedule

Payouts are computed on your net realized profit — losing trades are subtracted from winning trades. You keep 90% of it.

First payout is available after 3 days of funded trading, and requires a minimum amount of net profit for your tier (see below). After that, payouts are available every 3 days.

You also need at least 3 winning days on the funded account. A winning day is any day that finishes net positive — unlike the evaluation's profitable-day requirement, there is no minimum amount.

A single payout is capped at the lower of 50% of your balance above the starting balance and your per-cycle maximum, so you always leave part of the gain in the account.

    $2,000

    Max Payout / Cycle: $100

First payout needs $30 net profit

    $10,000

    Max Payout / Cycle: $500

First payout needs $150 net profit

    $25,000

    Max Payout / Cycle: $1,000

First payout needs $300 net profit

    Withdrawal Buffer

To withdraw, your balance must be above your starting balance plus a buffer — and it must stay above that line after the payout. You cannot withdraw from an account that is at or below where it started.

Taking a payout never moves your drawdown floor. Withdrawing does not reduce the distance to a breach, so a payout can never bring you closer to failing the account.

    $2,000

    Min Balance After Payout: $2,100

    Starting balance + $100 buffer

    $10,000

    Min Balance After Payout: $10,500

    Starting balance + $500 buffer

    $25,000

    Min Balance After Payout: $26,000

    Starting balance + $1,000 buffer

    Funded Consistency Rule

Your largest single profitable day in a payout cycle may not exceed 40% of that cycle's profit. Days are measured net, so a day that loses more than it makes does not count as a profitable day.

    Example

If you earned $1,000 since your last payout, no single day may account for more than $400 of it. If your best day was $530, the payout is held until further profitable days bring that share under 40%.

    Funded Position Limits

Funded accounts start at a tighter per-event contract limit than the evaluation. Once your account reaches the unlock level below, the limit rises permanently — dropping back below that level does not re-lock it.

    $2,000

    Funded Contracts / Event: 30 → 50

    Unlocks at $2,050

    $10,000

    Funded Contracts / Event: 150 → 250

    Unlocks at $10,250

    $25,000

    Funded Contracts / Event: 300 → 500

    Unlocks at $25,500

    Drawdown (Funded)

The same trailing drawdown applies on funded accounts, measured the same way: on total account value, checked continuously while positions are open, with the same ~30 second confirmation before a breach counts.

Once a breach is confirmed, the funded account is terminated and all open positions are closed.

    Prohibited Strategies

The following strategies are prohibited during both the evaluation and funded phases. Violations may result in immediate account breach.

    • Hedging or arbitrage across positions
    • Collusion between accounts
    • Copy trading or mirrored trading
    • Opposing positions across related accounts
    • Exploiting stale lines, pricing errors, or technical issues
    • Any trading inconsistent with normal directional risk-taking
    • Any attempt to circumvent evaluation rules
